A survival guide while in hospital

I joke at times that the hospital is my second home, considering how much I have had to be admitted into hospital Hospital stays can be overwhelming, depressing and painful. I have tried to find positives, but I can’t! Hospitals sucks! I HATE them! However over time I have managed to make hospitals, that little more bearable, here are some tips

Send out a text or post on social media, letting all your loved ones know if your up for visitors, and or keep them updated on diagnosis etc

Take your own pillow or a blanket to make it more homely.

Watch movies/netflix, it helps pass the time

When the doctor comes in on his/her rounds of patients, try to have a list of questions and points you want them to know, nothing you say is not silly or not relevant! (You are the one and only getting jabbed and prodded!

Bring your deodorant/soap from home, it helps to boost your mood up, (feeling you smell just like you do at home).

If your allowed and able have a look at the hospital shop or sit in the cafe, treat yourself (only if your allowed)

Try and set up visitors to come at least once a day. (if your up for visitors)
