"A wave of emotions passed through me while reading about Georgiana's extraordinary life. Although it's always interesting and inspiring to find out about other people's lives by reading their autobiographies, rarely do I feel such disbelief, anger, and sadness about the same one.

A combination of an abusive and unstable family, a lack of social support from the authorities, and the misfortune to be born with and develop several chronic illnesses have been knitted together to form her story and shows the world the shining woman she has become. Georgiana had to make brave and long-lasting choices from a young age and was put into situations no one of her age should be in. It made me wonder about humanity, religion, and the life chances and luck we are given. However, there is huge underlying positivity and humor despite it all.

She gives eloquent descriptions of her sufferings - a brave decision to include events she obviously found distressing, and a few that her readers will find distressing too. In the age of #metoo and our new wave of feminism, these examples of mistreatment at the hands of men, and others who should know better must be shared and understood.

This is a woman who knows herself inside and out (better than most doctors know her), who is not afraid to yell from the rooftops about who she is and where she's come from. Braveness and resilience are apt and admirable, but so is her confidence and inspiration.

Thank you for sharing your story and personality with us, and for experiencing those negative emotions all over again, so that we may appreciate and understand you and our fellow humans a little better."
