My Beautiful Friend Emily Bruce

Inspirational, selfless and passionate is my description of Emily Bruce.

A dear friend who always makes time for friends, family and neighbours.

Emily Bruce and I have been friends since 2013 when we lived together in an community based flat. For me Emily is inspiring, with her passionate journey of committing her time to others while being part of the Urban Vision Community in Wellington, NZ.

The Urban Vision community is a faith based Christian Community, that I was part of for 3 years. Faith-based order with strong community and neighbourhood focus.

Emily continues to inspire me with her generosity and selflessness, giving her a larger than life personality. We laugh lots. She loves me for me, and that’s including my inappropriate jokes and comments.

I am honored to have been part of her journey of becoming a wife and Mother. She has so much love and strength as a woman, it shows through her passion and caring for others, as well as for her 8 month daughter (who now has me as her “coolest” Aunt).

Before becoming a Mother Emily was the Coordinator of youth ministries happening in the Wellington region providing support, training camps and events for youth.

She and her husband Josh, also a youth and community worker, commit their time too “Sharing life with others” as a stepping stone to building stronger neighborhoods and communities.
